Spinal Cord Stimulation for Chronic Pain

Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) is a cutting-edge technique designed to offer targeted relief, reclaiming lives from the grasp of persistent pain.

What is Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS)?

Chronic pain can be an unwelcome companion, affecting not just physical comfort but also the overall quality of life. At Napa Pain Institute, we recognize the profound impact of chronic pain and are dedicated to providing innovative solutions that transcend traditional approaches. Among our advanced interventions, Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) stands out as a cutting-edge technique designed to offer targeted relief, reclaiming lives from the grasp of persistent pain.

Spinal Cord Stimulation involves the implantation of a small device near the spine, emitting mild electrical impulses to the spinal cord. These impulses interfere with the pain signals traveling to the brain, offering relief without the need for medications or invasive procedures.

Conditions Addressed with SCS

Spinal Cord Stimulation has demonstrated remarkable effectiveness in managing chronic pain associated with various conditions, including:

  • Failed Back Surgery Syndrome: Alleviating persistent pain after spinal surgeries.
  • Neuropathic Pain: Providing targeted relief for pain stemming from nerve damage or dysfunction.
  • Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS): Managing chronic pain and discomfort associated with CRPS.
  • Degenerative Disc Disease: Offering relief for pain caused by the wear and tear of spinal discs.
